EASTER 2012

This weekend has been a whirlwind of chaos, fun, too much sugar, and not enough sleep. LOL
I just uploaded exactly 430 photo's that we took between yesterday afternoon and today.
So I've selected a much smaller handful of photo's to show what we've been up to with the kids.

We headed to church this morning, then had lunch and naps after church. By the time everyone was up, it was nearly dinner time, so we held out on giving the kids their Easter treats until after dinner.
Luke got a bubble gun, because he LOVES 'dubbles' as he calls them.. unfortunately it was a dud and wouldn't work - back to the store tomorrow.
Inspecting their loot.
The Easter Bunny's delivery... he was crafty and used buckets with shovels attached, instead of Easter baskets, because he knew that Luke needed new sandbox toys. lol

Luke went straight for the candy. haha

The biggest chocolate he's ever had, and will have until at least this time next year. lol

YUM YUM

"All Done" - now for clean hands.

"Now HOW did Big Brother get the candy out of these?"

Yesterday we had a fun BBQ and Easter egg hunt at a friends house.
Easter Egg Hunt

Counting my eggs... got to make sure I got ALL twelve. lol
Kate and Scarlett hung out while the big kids hunted for eggs :)

After the hunt, Luke disappeared to the front yard where he could 'safely' open his eggs without anyone snatching them from him. lol

And THAT is our Easter. Cute kids, chocolate, church and chaos. LOL...

JUST LUKE

It seems that in the last year or so, it's become harder and harder to get Luke to 'pose' for photo's etc, so I haven't caught too many of him actually looking at the camera and smiling recently.
Yesterday, while hanging out on daddy's lap at the dinner table, he was happy and smiling, and very willing to let me take a few photos.
I decided to dedicate a blog post solely to the photos' I got of Luke with his handsome, sweet face :)

Yesterday while playing outside with Jake,
Luke was trying to blow dandelions.
Here is a cute video of my 'no pants' boy blowing them. lol

6 MONTHS

Miss Kate turned 6 months old on Friday.

Her 6 month Stats are:

WEIGHT: 14lb 4oz (10-25th percentile)
HEIGHT: 24 1/4 inches (5-10th percentile)

She's growing so fast. (though she's a short petite little girl, especially in comparison to her big brother who weighed 19lb 13oz at 6 months. haha, and was 3 inches taller)
She is learning to sit unsupported... we're not quite there yet, but close :)
She loves to play with her big brother. He keeps her well entertained when she gets upset and I'm held up with something.
She likes to chew her fist and suck on her feet. lol
She rolls from her back to her belly, but still doesn't go from belly to back, and she HATES being on her belly, so gets upset pretty quickly when she gets herself stuck that way.
She loves to talk, and be spoken to.
She has no interest in baby food or cereal, but she has really taken to eating greek yogurt (that has fruit in the bottom). I've given her blueberry and strawberry and she loves both.
She is still a very content, happy baby and we're hoping she'll stay that way until, I dunno.. maybe when she's like 75? lol We'd love for her mellow temperament to roll over into those challenging toddler and teen years. lol

SPRING HAS SPRUNG

We haven't had anything overly exciting or significant happen in the Geddes home recently, hence my shortage of blog posts, but Spring is here (though this week it feels more like summer), and we are enjoying the good weather with lots of outdoor playtime to keep Luke entertained.

Here is what we have been up to lately :)

FAMILY TIME AT THE PARK DURING THIS GORGEOUS SPRING WEATHER

MID WEEK PLAY DATES WITH FRIENDS AT THE PARK

My little Sk8r boy :)

Such a cute, handsome boy

FUN AT HOME
Getting strong

"Would you like to have some of my cracker little sister?"
Sharing his Graham cracker
Kisses for Kate - I couldn't have asked for Luke to be a sweeter big brother
than he has turned out to be.
He really loves his little sister.
ADORABLE... seriously :) lol

Hanging out with my baby sister...
PLAYING IN THE BACKYARD ON YET ANOTHER SUNNY, HOT DAY.
Safely in my pack 'n play on the covered porch, away from the dirt (cos I'm a little lady) and the hot sun :)

Luke on the other hand LOVES the dirt. lol... His $10 is STILL a hit this year... a very good purchase.
OUR NEW NEIGHBORS HAVE A VERY FRIENDLY DOG. SHE LOVES TO PLAY 'FETCH' AND LUKE LOVES TO THROW THE BALL TOO HER... IT'S THE PERFECT SET UP... HE GETS THE JOY OF A DOG, WHILE WE GET THE CONVENIENCE OF HER NOT BEING OUR PROBLEM AND EXPENSE TO CARE FOR. LOL. SHE COMES OVER TO PLAY WITH LUKE WHEN HE'S OUTSIDE, AND GOES HOME AGAIN WHEN THEY CALL HER BACK IN.
