6 MONTHS

Miss Kate turned 6 months old on Friday.

Her 6 month Stats are:

WEIGHT: 14lb 4oz (10-25th percentile)
HEIGHT: 24 1/4 inches (5-10th percentile)

She's growing so fast. (though she's a short petite little girl, especially in comparison to her big brother who weighed 19lb 13oz at 6 months. haha, and was 3 inches taller)
She is learning to sit unsupported... we're not quite there yet, but close :)
She loves to play with her big brother. He keeps her well entertained when she gets upset and I'm held up with something.
She likes to chew her fist and suck on her feet. lol
She rolls from her back to her belly, but still doesn't go from belly to back, and she HATES being on her belly, so gets upset pretty quickly when she gets herself stuck that way.
She loves to talk, and be spoken to.
She has no interest in baby food or cereal, but she has really taken to eating greek yogurt (that has fruit in the bottom). I've given her blueberry and strawberry and she loves both.
She is still a very content, happy baby and we're hoping she'll stay that way until, I dunno.. maybe when she's like 75? lol We'd love for her mellow temperament to roll over into those challenging toddler and teen years. lol

SPRING HAS SPRUNG

We haven't had anything overly exciting or significant happen in the Geddes home recently, hence my shortage of blog posts, but Spring is here (though this week it feels more like summer), and we are enjoying the good weather with lots of outdoor playtime to keep Luke entertained.

Here is what we have been up to lately :)

FAMILY TIME AT THE PARK DURING THIS GORGEOUS SPRING WEATHER

MID WEEK PLAY DATES WITH FRIENDS AT THE PARK

My little Sk8r boy :)

Such a cute, handsome boy

FUN AT HOME
Getting strong

"Would you like to have some of my cracker little sister?"
Sharing his Graham cracker
Kisses for Kate - I couldn't have asked for Luke to be a sweeter big brother
than he has turned out to be.
He really loves his little sister.
ADORABLE... seriously :) lol

Hanging out with my baby sister...
PLAYING IN THE BACKYARD ON YET ANOTHER SUNNY, HOT DAY.
Safely in my pack 'n play on the covered porch, away from the dirt (cos I'm a little lady) and the hot sun :)

Luke on the other hand LOVES the dirt. lol... His $10 is STILL a hit this year... a very good purchase.
OUR NEW NEIGHBORS HAVE A VERY FRIENDLY DOG. SHE LOVES TO PLAY 'FETCH' AND LUKE LOVES TO THROW THE BALL TOO HER... IT'S THE PERFECT SET UP... HE GETS THE JOY OF A DOG, WHILE WE GET THE CONVENIENCE OF HER NOT BEING OUR PROBLEM AND EXPENSE TO CARE FOR. LOL. SHE COMES OVER TO PLAY WITH LUKE WHEN HE'S OUTSIDE, AND GOES HOME AGAIN WHEN THEY CALL HER BACK IN.

MILESTONE: ROLLING OVER

Kate has been rolling onto her side for quite some time, but hadn't yet rolled the whole way over.
Today she rolled completely over... twice in a row (She's 4.5 months old)
She didn't like it much though, because she kept getting her one arm stuck underneath her belly, so she got mad pretty quickly each time, and I had to flip her back over onto her back - silly girl. :)

EDIT TO POST:
Since posting the picture earlier today, Kate has made GREAT progress in just a couple hours.
She's managed to roll over without getting her arm stuck, and is holding her head up nice and strong. I thought I'd add an extra picture of her improved rolling of the day. :)

DADDY'S GIRL

I just wanted to post some adorable pictures of a proud (and handsome) daddy, and his beautiful little girl.
She definitely loves her daddy.

I really wanted to get some photo's of Luke with Kate and his daddy too, but he wasn't feeling too eager to have a photo shoot, so these are all I could get. lol
(he needs a hair cut. lol)

THE BEST BIG BROTHER

After the first couple months of adjusting to a sibling, Luke warmed up to Kate really well, and has become the sweetest big brother to her since.
He often just hangs out with her on her play mat, or puts a toy in her hand for her to play with.
He seems to very much understand that she can't 'Play' properly yet, so he helps her to hold a toy, and just hangs out by her.
Often we'll hear him sitting by her and saying, "Hey baby girl" with his sweet little voice albeit very limited pronunciation. He's heard us say that to her many times, and that's become how he 'chats' to her when they play together :)

He may still give Jake and I a lot of challenges, but he is one seriously sweet big brother to a very lucky little girl :)
